The Impact Forecaster

The tool Model Ortho uses in client work to show a practice what growth actually changes.

One-line

The Impact Forecaster is the tool Model Ortho uses in client conversations to answer one question: "If we grow 10%, what actually changes?"

The question it answers

Most practices want to grow but cannot see past the word "more." More patients, more chairs, more staff, more production. The Impact Forecaster turns "more" into a specific, verifiable number, then shows what the practice has to do to reach it.

It does not pitch growth. It shows the practice its own numbers, lets the leadership move a single growth dial, and reveals what that growth costs in time, chairs, staff, and patient flow.

What you see

The tool is a single screen built around a few controls a practice can move in real time:

Everything else recalculates the moment a dial moves.

What it calculates

The tool runs real production math, not a generic percentage guess:

Growth is then split into two honest channels:

That split matters because it stops a practice from confusing efficiency with growth. A team cannot "work smarter" its way to a growth target if the math says the remaining gap still needs more starts. The tool shows exactly which part is which.

What the screen grab shows

The before/after pair uses the demo practice (DEMO Orthodontics), a realistic 4-clinical-day, $600/hour, 39-week schedule:

The after state is not a different practice. It is the same practice with one dial moved, and the tool shows precisely what new patient flow and capacity that +15% requires.

Why this matters

The Impact Forecaster is the concrete form of what Model Ortho does: look at reality, forecast what is possible, and find the systems that get a practice there. It is not a report handed over and forgotten. It is the shared surface a practice's leadership and Anita work through together, so the decision to grow or not to grow is made with the numbers in front of everyone, not guessed at.

It reads across the four things every practice actually cares about:

The tool is deliberately built to be moved during a conversation, not presented as a static slide. That is the difference between a consultant telling a practice what to do and one showing them what is true.

The screen grab

The practice today, at its current production (0% growth):

Impact Forecaster, before (0% growth)

$1,623,250 per year.

One dial moved to a 15% growth target:

Impact Forecaster, after (15% growth)

$1,870,400 per year, an increase of $247,150.
