When you register for LumaCMS, we collect your name, email address, company name, phone number, and billing address. This information is necessary to provide and bill for the Services.

1.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information about how you interact with the platform, including login times, features used, screens configured, content uploads, and API requests. This data helps us improve the Service and diagnose issues.

1.3 Player & Screen Data

LumaCMS Player devices (Raspberry Pi) periodically report status information including online/offline state, software version, display resolution, and playback status. This data is used to monitor screen health and ensure content delivery.

1.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers. We retain billing history and the last four digits of payment cards for reference purposes.

Provide, maintain, and improve the LumaCMS Service
Process transactions and send billing communications
Send service-related notifications (scheduled maintenance, updates, security alerts)
Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

Service providers: Third parties who help us operate the platform (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You will be notified of any change in data ownership.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after termination. Your Content (images, videos, playlists) is retained for 30 days after account closure, after which it is permanently deleted. Usage analytics may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form indefinitely.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

Encryption in transit: TLS 1.2+ for all data transmitted between browsers, players, and our servers
Encryption at rest: Data stored on encrypted volumes
Access controls: Role-based access to administrative functions
Regular backups to geographically separate storage
Security monitoring and incident response procedures

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)

Cloud hosting providers (server infrastructure)

9. Children's Privacy

LumaCMS is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (Germany for backup). If you access the Services from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
