Acceptable Use Policy

⚠️ This policy applies to all LumaCMS customers, users, and Content displayed on LumaCMS-managed screens. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of service.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not display, distribute, or transmit through LumaCMS any content that:
- Illegal: Violates any applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation
- Obscene or pornographic: Contains explicit sexual content, nudity, or adult material
- Hateful or discriminatory: Promotes violence, harassment, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
- Violent or threatening: Depicts gratuitous violence, encourages self-harm, or threatens harm to individuals or groups
- Fraudulent or deceptive: Misrepresents products, services, or affiliations; contains false advertising or phishing content
- Copyright-infringing: Content you do not have the legal right to display or distribute
- Malicious: Contains malware, viruses, spyware, or other harmful code
- Weapons or firearms advertising: Promotes the sale of weapons, ammunition, or related accessories
- Tobacco, vaping, or cannabis: Promotes tobacco products, vaping, or cannabis products (except as incidental to a news report)
- Gambling: Promotes gambling, casinos, sports betting, or lottery services
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the LumaCMS platform to:
- Violate any A2P 10DLC, CAN-SPAM Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), or telemarketing regulations
- Send unsolicited commercial messages to any display medium
- Attempt to access, modify, or delete another customer's account, content, or settings
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the LumaCMS platform or player software
- Use the platform to mine cryptocurrency or perform unauthorized computing
- Bypass or circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures
- Upload content that infringes on any third-party intellectual property rights
- Use the platform for competitive analysis or benchmarking without our written consent
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute LumaCMS services without written authorization
3. Screen Placement & Public Display
You are responsible for ensuring that Content displayed on LumaCMS-managed screens:
- Complies with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding public signage and displays
- Does not create a public safety hazard (e.g., distracting drivers if visible from roadways)
- Complies with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements where applicable
- Does not violate any premises agreements, leases, or property regulations
- Is age-appropriate for the venue where displayed (e.g., no adult content in family restaurants)
4. Player Device Usage
LumaCMS Player devices (Raspberry Pi) must be:
- Used only for their intended purpose — displaying LumaCMS content on designated screens
- Connected to the internet in a secure, reliable manner
- Not modified, overclocked, or repurposed for other tasks
- Returned upon termination of service (hardware remains the property of IT Pro Partner if leased, or is yours if purchased)
5. Enforcement
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:
- Warning with a requirement to remove non-compliant content within 24 hours
- Immediate suspension of content display pending review
- Temporary or permanent account suspension
- Termination of service without refund
- Referral to law enforcement for illegal content
We reserve the right to remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates this policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action unless immediate action is required to prevent harm or legal liability.
6. Reporting Violations
If you see content displayed on a LumaCMS screen that violates this policy, please report it immediately to support@lumacms.com with:
- The location of the screen (business name, address)
- A photo or description of the content
- The date and time you observed it
7. A2P 10DLC & SMS Compliance
LumaCMS does not currently offer SMS/MMS messaging features. If SMS features are added in the future, they will comply with all applicable A2P 10DLC requirements, including:
- Registration of brands and campaigns with The Campaign Registry
- Proper opt-in consent collection and record-keeping
- Opt-out handling (STOP/HELP keywords)
- Compliance with CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
- Message frequency disclosure in all promotional campaigns
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
