Self-hosted knowledge assistant for internal staff

Ask your company anything.
Get a cited answer.

Scirium answers from your own documents, scoped to the exact department you are talking to. Every answer cites its source inline. Nothing is guessed, and nothing leaves your infrastructure.

Self-hosted White-label Full audit trail Multi-tenant Read-only by default
The problem

Your company already knows the answer. It just cannot reach it.

The handbook, the policy PDF, the billing procedure, the onboarding checklist. Every company already owns its institutional knowledge. What it lacks is a way for staff to get a correct, cited answer in ten seconds without interrupting a human.

Knowledge buried in documents

SharePoint, OneDrive, handbooks, policies. The answers exist, spread across libraries nobody searches.

Every question interrupts a human

Staff ping the one person who knows. That person becomes the bottleneck, and the answer lives in their head.

A generic chatbot is not the answer

One undifferentiated model with no grounding in your documents, no audit trail, and no scoping. It guesses, and it is wrong with confidence.

The core invariant

One channel. One domain. One scope.

A Scirium channel has exactly one agent and exactly one knowledge scope. Billing answers billing. HR answers HR. IT answers IT. They never cross-contaminate.

Need a second domain? Create a second channel with a second agent and a second scope. This is what makes Scirium trustworthy where a general chatbot is not.

If a question falls outside a channel's scope, Scirium says so instead of guessing. It never reaches across domains for an answer.

Why not a regular chatbot

The opposite on every axis that matters to a business.

A regular chat assistant is one undifferentiated model with no grounding in your documents, no audit trail, and no scoping. Scirium is the opposite.

Axis A regular chat Scirium
Grounding May hallucinate; no source + Every answer cites its source documents inline with a Sources footer
Scoping One model answers everything + One channel = one knowledge domain + one agent + one scoped source. Never cross-contaminated
Data residency Sent to a vendor's cloud + Self-hosted, white-label. Data stays in your M365 and your infra
Audit trail None + Every question and answer logged with citations, model, tokens, and latency
Identity Anonymous + Each domain is a named agent persona, like Scirium Billing
Failure mode Confident wrong answers + If the answer is not in scope, it says so instead of guessing
Tenancy Not applicable + One deployment serves many isolated tenants with row-level security
In practice

Real questions. Real citations.

Every answer is correct, scoped to the right domain, and clickable to the source so staff can verify it themselves. That last part is the product. Trust is the feature.

HRHuman resources
"How do I submit a PTO request?"

Submit through the leave portal, then notify your manager. The answer points staff to the PTO policy section of the employee handbook, so they can read the full rule themselves.

Sources: Employee Handbook, PTO policy
BIBilling
"What is our refund policy on a disputed charge?"

Scirium answers from the billing policy PDF and cites the exact paragraph and page, so the team handling the dispute works from the same source of truth as everyone else.

ITIT help desk
"What is the WiFi password for the conference room?"

Pulled straight from the internal IT runbook, with a link to the source. The question that once interrupted IT twenty times a week now answers itself in seconds.

Sources: IT Runbook, Office Network
ONOnboarding
"Walk me through the new hire checklist."

A step-by-step answer citing the onboarding checklist document. New starters get through their first week without waiting on a busy manager between every task.

Sources: Onboarding Checklist

It says "I don't know" instead of guessing.

Ask a channel something outside its scope, and Scirium tells you it cannot answer rather than invent one. "Can I expense a client lunch over $100?" goes to the expense policy channel, where the exact threshold is cited. Asked in the wrong channel, the answer is a clear "not in my scope", never a confident hallucination.

Roadmap

Grounded today. Governed tomorrow.

Version one is already fully grounded and cited. What later versions add is the ability to act, and only ever within an approved risk tier. Scirium never becomes a free-roaming agent.

v1

Grounded, cited Q&A

Read-only over scoped M365 document libraries. No actions taken.

Zero writes. Answer-only.
v2

Risk-tiered actions

Reporting first, then low-risk writes that follow propose, approve, audit.

Conditional, human-approved.
v3

Broader governed autonomy

Autonomous actions by risk tier, deeper connectors, granular per-channel permissions.

Tiered autonomy.
v4

Mature at scale

Multi-connector breadth, analytics, and admin self-service at scale.

Mature, governed.

The gap between v1 and the later versions is autonomy, not accuracy. The propose, approve, audit gate is permanent.

The safe, enterprise-grade choice.

Scirium is the trustworthy layer between your staff and the institutional knowledge they already have but cannot reach. Self-hosted, cited, scoped, and auditable.
